Isabelle Grant was a blind teacher that worked throughout her career to fight for the rights of the blind. She did work in other countries to help integrate the blind with the rest of society. She sent Braille materials around the world to help establish Braille libraries. She was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 1972.
